Junior year is typically when students begin focusing more intentionally on postsecondary planning and the college application process. However, every year of high school offers opportunities to explore interests, build skills, and prepare for life after graduation. Use each year, especially the spring and summer before senior year, to explore options, stay organized, and build a strong foundation for a successful transition to college, career training, military service, or other postsecondary pathways.
